Our Tuesday afternoon monthly Writers Group is a small gathering that comes together to focus on our individual fictional, non-fictional and / or biographical writing.

We meet in the afternoon on the second Tuesday of each month (1.00pm to 4.00pm) with an afternoon tea break, in between.

Our conversations are informal, and we make time to listen to each other as friends.

Importantly there are no expectations about performance or outputs.

The centre’s kitchen facilities are available for self-serve tea and coffee. Members are welcome to bring along nibbles or finger food to share.

The sessions are free. We take it in turn to facilitate - and no preparation is needed.

A fluid agenda includes interpersonal sharing, prompts to write spontaneously, refining projects already on the go, and brainstorming to overcome mind blocks in a relaxed, flexible environment which accommodates where each of us is at.

The group operates on principles of freedom of expression and confidentiality in discourse/discussion/communication.
