About Westside Multi-cultural Baptist Church

Westside Multi-Cultural Baptist Church, formally known as Filipino Christian Family, has been an MTQ (Mission to Queensland) church plant, currently in their 9th year building the church of Jesus Christ in the community of Inala. For many years the fellowship has been changing into a multi-cultural group with most people now second generation Filipino's and the rest made up of Aussies and other nationality's.

This is one of the reasons for the name change to WESTSIDE MULTI-CULTURAL BAPTIST CHURCH. The church recognizes the need to reach out to everyone in the community, and not just Filipino's.

Pastor Don Sison says, "We believe God put us in this community to be light and salt and He wants his people to live an authentic life, bringing the people in the community to his kingdom. We are currently sharing a building with Inala Baptist. We are in the center of our community and the place has great potential to connect to the community.

For over 8 years, faithful people have supported the church. Added to that, Christians visiting the church fell in love with the warmth and caring fellowship and decided to stay and support the ministry. The church is growing on the inside, and slowly growing on the outside.

Connecting and caring for the community is a big deal for Westside Multi-Cultural Baptists. They want to let the Inala community know that they are a church that cares, and wants to give.
